Benjamin Harnett

Benjamin Harnett is a poet, historian, and engineer. His works have appeared recently in Aeon, Moon City Review, Juked, Chicago Quarterly Review, and Poet Lore.

He is the author of the novel The Happy Valley, the short-story collection Gigantic, and the poetry collection Animal, Vegetable, Mineral.

He was an early organizer of the Times Tech Guild and currently serves as a shop steward. He is a member of the CWA Advisory Committee on Artificial Intelligence.

He is the author of “The Diffusion of the Codex,” an important contribution to our understanding of the early history of the book.

In 2005 he co-founded the fashion brand Hayden-Harnett.

He lives in Cherry Valley, New York with his wife Toni. He is a member of the board of Cherry Valley Artworks.
